Mirror Kisses - The Distance (Boys Lie Cover)

this is a song I recorded for a compilation of Virginia artists covering other Virginia artists. Boys Lie was a band that only released one album and only played a handful of shows. like 5 shows. Not a lot of people ever heard this music, but it really spoke to me and was one of the biggest inspirations for Mirror Kisses. and maybe even be the first person to add it to their bandcamp collection
Nowadays one of the singers makes throwback RnB on Stone's Throw Records as "Stimulator Jones" and the other singer plays drums/sometimes sings in "Eternal Summers"

"The Distance" isn't necessarily my favorite song of theirs, but it was the easiest for me to imitate.
If you check out the album, the songs "Special Friends," "Dance Beat," and "Cracks In The Door" are songs that still pop in my head randomly today. But the whole album is full of good songs, as long as you can get into its... headspace
