in this demo you get to hear my first take at what the middle of the song would be. this section would change a few more times before i settled on what i had. theres another version of the song that i stuck with for maybe 2 years... before ultimately i would rewrite it completely as the last thing i needed to do to finish the album. getting attached to ideas that ultimately arent working, and trying to make them work, is ultimately why it takes me so long to make music. but the silver lining of that sad story is that process of adding more and more ideas to the song (then taking them away) over long periods of time results in a finished song that i cant imagine how i even wrote. the songs sound so crazy to me sometimes, and the thought of making more songs just as crazy is daunting, but it just happens inevitably like this.
